Day 10 | TRUST IN THE LORD
TRUST IN THE LORD

Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
(KJV)

Here Solomon advises his son to live a life of TRUST in Yahweh. But that trust must be complete, not half-hearted. We should endeavor to give Yahweh, Almighty God, ALL of our conscious trust.

We live in a world where giving anyone or anything ALL of our mental trust is dubious. People can disappoint us and let us down. But then, WHO do you think God is?

AW Tozer – a preacher from the past – said, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”

So, what REALLY comes into your mind right now about God?  Is He all-knowing in your estimation? Is He all powerful? Is He the Creator of the world like it says in Genesis 1:1?

All of these questions are vital if you want to get to where you CAN trust the Lord with ALL your heart.

If you would like to trust God more, you might want to consider these steps:

1.  Talk to God (pray) regularly. Every day. Multiple times a day if you can manage it. They need not be long prayers; just talk to Him.
2.  Got something bothering you? Give it to Him (pray) and ask Him to fix it.
3.  Get into the Bible more… for example, these devotionals. Re-read them. Let God speak to you through His Word and His Spirit.
4.  Get together with other Christian friends in church, Bible studies, socially, or wherever. They can encourage you.
5.  Relax and wait. Take action only after you feel led by the Lord to do so.

Prayer: LORD, teach me how to LIVE these familiar verses. Thank You, Amen.
