40 Days of GRACE
Day 15 | GOD MADE IT ALL, YET STILL KNOWS AND CARES FOR YOU
40 Days of GRACE
Day 15 | GOD MADE IT ALL, YET STILL KNOWS AND CARES FOR YOU
GOD MADE IT ALL, YET STILL KNOWS AND CARES FOR YOU
Psalm 8:3-4
“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?”
Have you considered lately how VAST the universe is?
I read recently that the Voyager 1 and 2 satellites launched by NASA in the 1970’s are STILL sending data back to Earth. Voyager 1 is traveling over 38,000 miles per hour and is now over 15 billion miles away, beyond our farthest planets (Neptune and Pluto) and in interstellar space. NASA says the next known area at which they should arrive – in about 300 years – will be the inner edge of the Oort Cloud!
Our universe is vast, beyond my (or your) comprehension, and yet, Genesis 1:1 reminds us… “In the Beginning, God (Elohim – our mighty Creator God) created the heavens and the earth.” He made it all, and even our best scientists don’t know where the universe ENDS; it appears to go on indefinitely.
Now consider today’s verse – where David writes/sings something we ALL ought to ponder regularly: “What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit (give attention to and care for) him?
That should boggle your mind – and – make you exceedingly grateful. I mean, we are an infinitesimal speck in God’s universe. And yet “God so loved the world (that’s us) that He gave His only begotten Son (that’s Jesus) that WHOSOEVER believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
That’s Amazing Grace!
Prayer: LORD, Your universe is so massive; I am amazed that You know and care about me. Thank You. Amen.
