GOD WILL STRENGTHEN AND HELP YOU
Isaiah 41:10
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
God is giving Israel both a command and a promise.
“Do not fear,” for fear, doubt, worry, and anxiety, are often sins. Often, they demonstrate a lack of FAITH on our part to believe that God will be faithful to do HIS part in His time.
So, when God tells His people to “fear not” – which happens often throughout Scripture – we should pay attention.
But there’s also a promise connected to his admonition to “fear not.” And that is that HE will be WITH us.
In Romans 8:31, we read: “If God is for us who can be against us?” That same God who was with Isaiah and Israel… is here today too.
Once again, our Enemy wants us to believe that God doesn’t KNOW what’s happening in our lives or worse – doesn’t care. Don’t believe the Enemy’s lies!
Were you ever alone and afraid when you were little? Did you ever walk (or run) to be near a parent and then feel better and no longer afraid? Why? Because your parent was bigger, bolder, smarter, and better equipped to deal with whatever it was that was frightening you!
So, consider how well-equipped our God is to deal with whatever is coming your way! God made the universe. God knows everything. God is everywhere present. God is all-powerful. God raised Jesus from the dead and more! (I think He can handle your and my little problems!)
Prayer: LORD God, I acknowledge that You are all-powerful, knowing, and caring. So, Lord, I am TRUSTING in You to help me through the challenges on the road of life. Give me Your wisdom to see what You want me to see and the courage to trust you and DO whatever I need to do. Amen.
