Day 10 | GOD WILL PROVIDE A WAY
40 Days of Encouragement
Day 10 | GOD WILL PROVIDE A WAY
GOD WILL PROVIDE A WAY
1 Corinthians 10:13
“No temptation has come your way that is too hard for flesh and blood to bear. But God can be trusted not to allow you to suffer any temptation beyond your powers of endurance. He will see to it that every temptation has a way out, so that it will never be impossible for you to bear it.”
Everybody has challenges from time to time. Some are minor and flit away on their own. Others, though, can be significant and test our ability to stand firm.
Being patient isn’t an attribute I find in many of the people I know, including the man I see in the mirror (though he’s learning). And that is understandable given the speed with which life seems to move today, with everything seemingly being either streamed, pre-packaged, instant, or a time-saver.
We are all just “people” and thus there are limitations to what we can and can’t do. We are also open to sickness and disease, the wiles of the devil, problems with other people, and on and on.
Sometimes, these temptations can seem too much, so much so that we might want to quit and give into the temptation and just do it.
Have you been there? (Are you there now?)
So, what options do you have when facing what might seem like an overwhelming temptation in your life?
Look to the LORD.
Remember, He knows everything. He knows what you’re struggling with. And He knows the way OUT of what you’re facing. Today’s verse is encouraging inasmuch as God is promising here in His Word that whatever you’re being tempted to do – that is not right – God has a way OUT.
Your situation may be difficult, but it is NOT impossible.
“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26). If you’re a child of God, then He’s got your back and will provide a way OUT when you need it.
Prayer: LORD, thank You for knowing my situation and the solution better than I do. Please reveal it to me and help me to follow Your lead. Amen.
